ٱلْفَلَق

The Opening

Translation:

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed one

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ ﴿1﴾

113:1

Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ﴿2﴾

113:2

from the evil of whatever He has created,

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ﴿3﴾

113:3

and from the evil of the night when it grows dark,

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّـٰثَـٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ ﴿4﴾

113:4

and from the evil of those ˹witches casting spells by˺ blowing onto knots,

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ﴿5﴾

113:5

and from the evil of an envier when they envy.”
